Seattle Blackmind is an attempt to relay what I have thought about since my youngest son was murdered in 2013. I have had a million thoughts and even more questions. What is death really about? What is humanity really about? Can you die without having fulfilled your purpose for being born? If you can, then do you have to come back to do what you were meant to do in the first place?

Even as I type this last question, my blackmind says yes.

I entitled the book Seattle Blackmind because it describes my physical location and my consciousness in the present time frame...This book is not like any of my others previously written because Joseph was still alive. Will my writing ever be the same? How can it? I have been forever changed by a personal tragedy so profound that I can not begin to understand it.

Still, words come to me each day, stories write themselves through out my cerebral cortex yearning to find their place and order upon a page; to have a beginning, a middle and an end...
